Good Win
Nice to see some small ball to move a runner into scoring position tonight.
Perhaps A-Rod has turned a corner with 2 big Home runs, the first being an A-Bomb. Players will slump it happens, but it always seems to be bigger in NY. Now that A-Rod has gotten a couple of hits, it will be Mark Teixiera that takes some heat for his lack of production.
The Jorge Posada situation seems to be getting worse as I was told the New York Post had a headline saying he wanted out of New York, if someone could shed some light on that, I’d appreciate it. Have a good one everybody and Go Yankees!

Yankees Baseball so far in 2011
Things started off great in the AL East for the Yankees as they started out the season winning a bunch of series. They were winning with the home run and now there prowess of how to win games has kind of died down. You have to be able to win games in other ways than always counting on the home run.
Who doesn’t love to see them? Everyone does. I know I get ecstatic every time I see one, but they Yankees seem to be relying on them. It’s home runs or nothing. We seem to have lost the idea of how to play small ball.
As I write this, the Yankees have just watched there 5-1 lead turn to a 6-5 deficit. I could go on and on about all of this. The fact of the matter is this, they need to be able to hold on to leads, and get back to the basics that made them a world series winner in 2009. They didn’t just hit home runs, they got timely hits, and hit with runners in scoring position. I will never give up in the Yankees, but there slug fest mentality needs to be retooled. Singles, Doubles, and Triples can win games as well as bunt base hits.
Here is to hoping we turn it around. Don’t even get me started on pitching.
